live, learn, & Volunteer in Tanzania
ERIPOTO for Girls & Women welcomes volunteers from around the world who want to contribute their time, skills, and energy while learning from the people and communities we serve. Volunteers work alongside our Tanzanian staff in programs that support children, girls, and women through education, vocational training, and community outreach.

Whether you are interested in early childhood education, supporting women and girls living in the Safe House, participating in school- and community-based violence prevention and empowerment programs, or learning more about life in Tanzania, volunteering with ERIPOTO offers a meaningful opportunity for cultural exchange, learning, and service.

WHAT DO VOLUNTEERS DO?

School & Community Outreach
Some volunteers participate in outreach visits to schools and communities where ERIPOTO's staff conduct educational seminars and empowerment programs.

Life as a volunteer
Volunteers stay in accommodation located within the Safe House compound, with a separate entrance for privacy and security. Meals are prepared by ERIPOTO staff and served in a communal setting.
Outside of program activities, volunteers have opportunities to explore Arusha, attend cultural events, practice Swahili, visit local markets, or travel to nearby destinations such as Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Mount Kilimanjaro, and Mount Meru.
Weekly Swahili lessons and daily interaction with staff and community members provide meaningful opportunities for cultural exchange and learning.
Who makes a good volunteer?
We welcome volunteers from a variety of backgrounds. Individuals with interests in education, childcare, community development, social work, gender studies, or related fields are particularly well suited. More important than specific qualifications are patience, flexibility, cultural sensitivity, and a willingness to learn.
Ready to Join Us?
Volunteers are welcome throughout the year. Whether you can stay for a few weeks or several months, we invite you to become part of the ERIPOTO community and support programs that help girls and women build brighter futures.
